Marion Hutton, BSc OT is a licensed Occupational Therapist in good standing with the College of Occupational Therapists of Alberta. Marion received a Bachelor of Science in Occupational Therapy in 1998 from Queen Margaret’s University, Edinburgh, Scotland. As a national board representative for the Canadian Association of Occupational Therapists, Marion has developed critical ability to lead discussion of national issues at a governance board level. She was served a 6 year term on the national board by her peers in Nunavut, NWT and Yukon.
For the past 19 years, Marion has focused on occupational rehabilitation and as a result has travelled and worked in communities across Nunavut, NWT and Yukon. Marion has completed the Functional Capacity Evaluation mastery series by Roy Matheson and Associates and since 2003 has been recognized as a Certified Work Capacity Evaluator and Certified Ergonomic Evaluation Specialist. In addition, Marion is a certified Progressive Goal Attainment Program clinician; PGAP provides return to work standardized best practices for chronic pain and early return to work.
Recent professional development includes: the National Institute of Disability Management and Training (NIDMAR) – Certified Disability Management Consultant. Marion frequently presents on Duty to Accommodate and Disability Management with Infonex across Canada.
